ShareLaTeX works across platforms!

I'd been having issues importing old TeX files into newer compilers that work both in MacOS and in an antiquated Windows OS, and ShareLaTeX allowed me to import enough (easily enough) to begin again.  I'd also procrastinated since the last thing I wanted was to start over.  On the other hand, sometimes it's easier for me to start afresh than to attempt to muddle out where I was before.  I don't have a full review of all the ones I've tried since it was done over a long time range and with too much frustration. 

Use LaTeX on different platforms (Mac & Windows) with Overleaf.com?

Is there a sane way to use LaTeX on different platforms (Mac & Windows) without losing work or sanity?

I'm going to try Overleaf.com.
