ShareLaTeX works across platforms!

I'd been having issues importing old TeX files into newer compilers that work both in MacOS and in an antiquated Windows OS, and ShareLaTeX allowed me to import enough (easily enough) to begin again.  I'd also procrastinated since the last thing I wanted was to start over.  On the other hand, sometimes it's easier for me to start afresh than to attempt to muddle out where I was before.  I don't have a full review of all the ones I've tried since it was done over a long time range and with too much frustration.

The author mentions he set it up as a single file in order to make file-sharing simpler, but it doesn't seem entirely clear how to set it up in the multiple-TeX-file format he suggests.

While I don't have access to their Thesis documents, this has been the best overview and step-by-step introduction yet.  It does not address using LaTeX on different operating systems (Mac at home and Windows in the lab, for example).
